What is cellulose made of?
Cellulose is made of recycled newspaper, making it an inherently green product. Cellulose insulation limits the output of greenhouse gases during manufacturing and keeps paper out of landfills. Read more “green facts” at cellulose.org.
Is cellulose insulation safe? Yes, it is, in fact, safer than traditional insulation, because it does not contain fiberglass or formaldehyde. Additionally, cellulose insulation is treated with fire-retardant chemicals, earning it a class-1 fire rating.
What is the installation process? Cellulose is added to a blower and then blown in to your attic, crawl space, or whatever space is in need of insulation.
What kind of savings will I see? In addition to the money you will save on energy costs and the increased value of your home, you’re also saving money by choosing cellulose insulation over traditional fiberglass insulation.
